Matchstick rockets
I thought of using matchstick heads (red part of matchstick) as propellant for a small rocket that I wanted to make… So then I got to work, but before I was using matchstick heads I was using the whole matchstick so then I used aluminum foil as the “skin” of the rocket and it worked out nicely. But the thing I wanted to know was… Would it launch or fail? so then I went to the beach with my mother, father and my little brother. Before I went though, I made a launch pad. When I arrived at the beach I ate dinner at a restaurant that was connected to the beach. I took a video on my dads phone. Meanwhile dad tried to heat* the rocket to ignite the fuel.
*To launch my matchstick rockets, all you have to do is simply use a lighter to heat the rocket and keep heating until the rockets fuel ignites and starts flying.
Anyway. The rocket didn’t launch and it didn’t even ignite. At that point I wanted to know what caused this problem, so when I got back home I tried to break into the rocket’s insides but that’s when I realised that the aluminum foil must have actually sealed the match head from the heat of the lighter.
Video coming here:
Attempt 2: This time I tried adding less foil and I still used the whole match. Then I went to the beach with my dad and brother but when we tried to heat it the wind kept cooling it down even though the lighter was constantly on. Grr. I know, the bear shares my feelings

Attempt 3: Now I went outside on the road to launch my new model and ONLY used the match head (red part) I also made multiple rockets. I was confident about my rocket (I even added fins to it!) so then I asked my dad to heat the rocket. But then dad tried to heat the rocket with a very POWERFUL lighter and the rocket melted and caught fire for half a second. GRR. why dad WHY. Anyway I hope you remember that I told you that I made multiple rockets so that made me feel a little better. Anyway I loaded the rocket onto the launch pad and dad got the normal lighter and tried to heat it. The rocket caught fire and that’s when I realised that the rocket wasn’t sealed good enough and the pressure and heat escaped as fire. I went back inside with dad and…
Attempt 4: I made another rocket and sealed it tight and went back outside and… It LAUNCHED I finally succeeded. I had never been happier. I just created a rocket that WORKS with a single MATCHSTICK as its fuel. So then I made more rockets and launched them for fun!
